I don't care if the Wii is both fun and stimulating, I hope you die by being crucified upside down and set alight.

Looks good only problem with it is that is the USA version or NTSC machine . I would rather wait until March for the release of the PAL system .

Well i know that most of the machine's that get sold here are PAL systems therefore the games you buy(legaly) are also PAL games . I have struggled in the past to get hold of the titles that i have wanted for NTSC systems hence i buy the PAL system and i have never had any problems. My original Playstation ,my PS ONE and now my PS 2 were all PAL .

Not that i am saying you are wrong i am just saying i have found it easier in the longrun to have the PAL system.

why? if you're referring to the refresh rate, if you can tell the difference between 50hz and 60hz then you are a better man than me.

Also PAL WORKS IN SA which is quite convienient because we are IN SA
During the last six decades, Cliff Richard has charted many hit singles, and holds the record (along with Elvis Presley) as the only act to make the UK singles charts in all of its active decades (1950s–2000s). According to his website, he has sold 250 million records over the course of his career.

1. not refresh rate FRAME rate NTSC = 30 frames a sec and PAL = 24 ask a gamer if their pc delivers 24 frames a sec if they wil be happy?

2. the games are devloped for the biggest markets i.e. NTSC the conversion process takes time this is why we get consol games after the US and is often done badly if at all look at MGS 2

3. if you can afford a PS3 you should have a half decent TV that is multisystem

I hear what you are saying but for example i couldn't play any of the dvds in my dvd collection. I have often considered crossing over to NTSC but have always decided that it would just be too much of a mission.

Higher refresh rates sound nice though :).

1. the difference between 30 fps and 24fps is also negligible. most gamers want around 60fps minimum, so television format isn't exactly going to sway their decision. also, you may as well say that since pal has a higher resolution, gamers will go for that rather than ntsc.

2. it's not the conversion process that causes the delay in us receiving games. that process can happen overnight. publishers create staggered demand by releasing in seperate territories at different times, much like the film industry, hence zoning.

3. true. i do :D
